For all type of vessels - Marine and Off-shore The G&O Microbac Bioreactor represents the next generation of Biological Sewage Plants and is able to handle all kinds of wastewater from any vessel and oil platform. The plant is an “Aerated Submerged Fixed Film Unit" which operates by use of the “Matrix Technology". The G&O Microbac system provides an excellent growth environment for our bacteria media. The tank is fitted with a rigid PVC matrix, with the exception of water freeboard above the matrix and approximately one foot of water filled between the Matrix and the bottom of the tank. By this we obtain a 150 times larger internal surface at where the bacteria media can adhere compared to any traditional Active Sludge Plant/tank. In this manner we secure any operator full operational freedom all around the Globe with a system that exceeds any known or expected future environmental demands! The system operates exclusively with the use of UV for sterilisation. No chemicals.
Highly efficient system for treatment of Black & Grey water delivered by Gravity or Vacuum. This includes complete degradation of organic matters including fat and grease.

All controls, parts and manholes are placed on one side according to demand. Easy maintenance as there is no moving parts inside the Bioreactor. All sludge is redirected to the plant making the need for desludging very limited. Tolerates organic and hydraulic shock/peak loadings Resistant to periods without wastewater inlet.
Approved with UV light sterilization - no need for adding of chemicals.
Test results are far better than any known or expected demands and it is approved and/or certified by DNV, ABS, USCG a.o.
The “Small footprint" by use of the “Matrix technology" provides the possibility of a very compact design, which is relevant where space is very limited. Furthermore the plant has a limited weight and can be designed/delivered as a split plant and in different sizes. Delivered in Mild Coated Steel, Stainless Steel (316 L, 316 TI ) and in Duplex. Only the best epoxy coatings are used with officially proved specifications from Makers. Can be delivered in EeX versions incl. Zone 1 & 2
Only the best pumps and compressors are used. Delivered with a programmable PLC with log functions and 4-20 mA outputs for external alarm systems.
As can be seen on the above sketch/drawing the waste water is led directly into the top of the Bioreactor via a macerator pump or a vacuumrator in case of a vacuum fed system. The wastewater is directed through the main chamber matrix by the air from the membrane aerators, passing through the settling tank matrix. Thereafter the clean water passes through the UV light for final sterilization before entering the clean water tank for discharge. Normal process time is between 5-6 hours depending on load. The PLC controls all pumps, compressors and level switches. The UV light/lamp can be cleaned without any dismantling and the membranes are easily cleaned by turning them without dismantling.
