Danish Crane Building was established in 1983 on a foundation of more than 40 years of experience in cranes and lifting equipment. Danish Crane Building is the only crane builder in Denmark with the expertise and capacity to encompass every aspect of crane design, planning and manufacturing.

Engine room cranes are a particular area of expertise for DCB. With in-house design, electrics and production departments they design and manufacture engine room cranes according to the bespoke specifications of the shipyard, shipowner or engine builder.

    The Engine Room Crane product range contains:

Standard scope of supply by DCB for a crane includes tooth rack and flat cable power supply. The cranes are normally fully electrical equipped with safety devices such as emergency stop, electrical limit switches and electromagnetic type brakes on electrical motors in order to fulfil requirements by the Class societies. Manually driven cranes or components can be fitted on request. The MAN B&W Double Jib crane has been developed in co-operation with MAN B&W Copenhagen. With this type of crane our customers can achieve the lowest building height at all and allow full utilization of the engine room height for overhaul of the main engine.

The MAN B&W Double Jib crane is a good example of the attention to detail and close collaboration with the customer’s needs. This begins with the unlimited respect for the customer’s needs and extends to qualified advice before, during and after the sale and our service staff’s alert eye for every aspect of safety and economy in the crane systems we service.
